Pune based Pharmaceutical Company Mylab Discovery Solutions on Monday has recieved approval from Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation(CDSCO) for its Coronavirus Diagnostic kits.
The approval may help in increase testing in the country.
Mylab's director Dr. Gautam Wankhede says they can start supply soon since they already have the raw material and have been in molecular diagnostic for last three to four years.
Dr. Gautam Wankhede said in current lab based testing takes four hours for test results to come out, Mylab's turn arount time is two and a half hours. Also, company's kit can study 1000 samples from large labs and 200 samples from small labs.
